The challenge
Every shipment needs coordinated decisions across several teams. Orders come with different locations, dates, quantities and temperature requirements; operators need current driver updates and a clear view of delays; the TST Cold warehouse must know which loads arrive and which orders leave; and finance needs delivery evidence and approved charges before paying carriers and billing customers.
What we did
- Orders and loads — one record links the customer order (PO, locations, dates, quantity, temperature, charge) to the truck movement (carrier, driver, appointments, rate).
- Load planning — combine compatible orders by location, date, pallet space, weight and temperature, with capacity checks and soft / hard batch rules.
- Carrier booking — assign carrier and driver, negotiate the rate, generate the rate confirmation and attach the signed document.
- Over-the-road tracking — inbound and outbound views of active, late, issue and upcoming loads, with temperature data from the trailer.
- TST Cold warehouse — Traffic Control and Manifest pages for receiving and shipping at the door.
- Exceptions — customer revisions, subloads for new delivery locations, extra costs and a full change history.
- Accounting — Accounts Payable for carrier payments and Accounts Receivable for customer billing, backed by proof of delivery.
- Customer Portal — customers see their orders and submit revision requests.
The result
One shared operational record for the whole shipment lifecycle: planning, transportation, warehouse and accounting teams work from the same order and load data, late loads and exceptions surface earlier, and customers get their own window into their orders.
Three ways to move an order.
The selected route decides whether a shipment passes through the TST Cold warehouse — and which planning board it appears on.
Warehouse route. Pickup warehouse to TST Cold, then a separate delivery to the destination warehouse.
Direct route. Pickup warehouse straight to the destination. Direct orders appear in Outbound planning.
Same truck. One truck takes the order through TST Cold and continues to the destination.
Every truck planned within its limits.
Planners combine compatible orders and see capacity at a glance. Soft batches allow flexible shipping, hard batches must travel together, and individual orders ship as No Batch.
One system for every team.
Load planning
Combine compatible orders by location, date, pallet space, weight and temperature. Overloaded loads are highlighted.
Carrier booking

OTR tracking
Inbound and outbound views of active, late, issue and upcoming loads, with arrival, departure and driver updates.
TST Cold warehouse
